Creamy Cardamom Pear Oatmeal

Ingredients
  

Oatmeal

  • 100 ml fibre enriched oats
  • 100 ml water
  • 120 ml oat milk
  • dash or two of ground cardamom
  • Splash of vanilla extract or pinch if you use vanilla powder
  • couple pinches salt

Toppings

  • 1 ripe pear
  • fresh or thawed frozen blueberries
  • toasted coconut flakes
  • chopped walnuts
  • almond butter optional
  • maple syrup optional (I found it wasn't needed)

Instructions
 

  • Add all the oatmeal ingredients to a microwaveable bowl and stir. Microwave the oatmeal for two minutes. As you wait for the oatmeal to cook, prepare your toppings. When the oatmeal is done, remove from the microwave and stir again. Top the oatmeal with your toppings, and enjoy!
