Healthy Apple Pie Breakfast Smoothie

A delicious and healthy way to start your day! This smoothie is filled with fruit, protein and heavenly spices!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe, frozen, medium sized bananas *
  • 3 smaller sized apples I used royal gala
  • 50 ml oats
  • 150 ml oat milk or vegan yogurt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • tsp dry ground ginger
  • tsp cardamom
  • ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • sea salt
  • maple syrup optional
  • vanilla protein powder optional

Method
 

  1. Mix all ingredients in a high speed blender and adjust spices etc to your taste! Enjoy!

Notes

* I was quite specific about the fruit sizes but it's not that important really, but I do however prefer more banana than apple for the fruit ratio in this smoothie because bananas make the smoothie so creamy! Yum!
