Lilac Iced Matcha Latte (Vegan + Gluten Free)

Ingredients
  

  • roughly 1 tsp good quality matcha powder
  • about 60 ml hot water (not boiling)
  • handful of ice cubes
  • 1 splash lilac simple syrup
  • oat milk gluten free brand if needed

Instructions
 

  • First heat some water on the stove in a kettle. Let your water come close to a boil. But the water shouldn't be boiling because that ruins the flavour of the matcha powder.
  • Scoop and sift the matcha powder into your whisking bowl (It's not absolutely necessary to sift the matcha but I do this because it removes all the clumps).
  • Pour the hot water over the matcha powder. Using your softened bamboo whisk (or milk frother), whisk the matcha until it has become deliciously frothy and creamy.
  • In a large glass add some ice cubes.
  • Pour a splash of your lilac syrup into the glass.
  • Add the desired amount of milk depending on how strong you like your matcha lattes.
  • Lastly pour the prepared matcha over everything else in your glass.
  • Stir and enjoy!
