Chocolate Vegan Oatmeal Indulgence

Topping Flavours

Once the oatmeal is cooked to a perfect consistency, it is topped with thinly sliced ripe banana. The banana offers a natural sweetness and a contrast in texture. Furthermore a dollop of smooth, creamy peanut butter is drizzled over the oats, adding a nutty richness and a satisfying protein boost! Cacao nibs are sprinkled on the oatmeal to add even more decadent chocolate flavour, antioxidants, and more importantly – super delicious crunch!

Lastly, to tie everything together and enhance the natural sweetness, a drizzle of date syrup is added! The date syrup provides a natural sweetener that complements the flavours without overpowering them. So the result is a comforting, nutrient-dense breakfast or snack that combines the earthy tones of cacao, the creamy sweetness of banana, the nuttiness of peanut butter, and the caramel-like richness of date syrup—an incredibly delicious and wholesome vegan meal! I mean the combination of dates, chocolate and peanut butter is absolutely heavenly! If you’ve tried peanut butter stuffed dates then you know what deliciousness I’m talking about! (Side note: you should ABSOLUTELY try them if you haven’t yet! They’re incredible!!)

Furthermore this Chocolate Vegan Oatmeal Indulgence is rich in healthy fats and vegan protein, but also fibre and other nutrients, which is exactly what a balanced breakfast should contain. So in other words this plant based recipe will definitely keep you full and satisfied from breakfast until lunch! And I mean how can you say no to a decadent Chocolate Vegan Oatmeal Indulgence with Banana and Peanut Butter?? I sure can’t! It’s simply mouthwatering delicious! • Transfer the oatmeal to a bowl.
  • Steam/froth some oat milk, then pour over the oatmeal.
  • Decorate the oatmeal with the banana slices, peanut butter, cacao nibs and date syrup.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

* I like cooking my oats with one cup of liquid, mostly water but with some oat milk mixed in. If you add oat milk instead of simply water the oatmeal will be creamier. But if you would like to save the calories or save money you can cook your oats with simply water. The result will be incredibly delicious either way!
** If you prefer to cook your oatmeal in the microwave instead of on the stove, that works great too!
