Healthy Apple Pie Breakfast Smoothie
I love this smoothie and it’s probably my favourite kind that I make. It tastes basically like apple pie ice cream, or just cold apple pie in a glass. Heavenly! It’s so good I make it for dessert too, not just for a healthy breakfast or snack! It has lots of fruit, protein and yummy spices so it’s perfect to fuel your body with in the morning. Oats provide some protein but you can also easily add protein powder to this smoothie. Enjoy!

Healthy Apple Pie Breakfast Smoothie
A delicious and healthy way to start your day! This smoothie is filled with fruit, protein and heavenly spices!
Ingredients
- 3 ripe, frozen, medium sized bananas *
- 3 smaller sized apples I used royal gala
- 50 ml oats
- 150 ml oat milk or vegan yogurt
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ⅓ tsp dry ground ginger
- ⅓ tsp cardamom
- ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- sea salt
- maple syrup optional
- vanilla protein powder optional
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients in a high speed blender and adjust spices etc to your taste! Enjoy!
Notes
* I was quite specific about the fruit sizes but it’s not that important really, but I do however prefer more banana than apple for the fruit ratio in this smoothie because bananas make the smoothie so creamy! Yum!
