This Healthier Vegan Saffron Ice Cream is made with no heavy cream or refined sugar, which makes this a healthier option. This recipe uses a smaller amount of raw sugar cane and oat cream with a lower fat percentage to make this ice cream recipe a bit healthier. Healthier Vegan Saffron Ice Cream

- Ice Cream Machine
Ingredients
- 0.5 g saffron
- 600 ml oat cream
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- 100 ml raw sugar
- ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
- little pinch sea salt
Instructions
- Pour the oat cream, raw sugar, and corn starch in a saucepan and heat up until a light boil. Whisk the mixture until everything has dissolved.
- When the mixture has become a little thicker, add the saffron, vanilla and salt. You can tell that the mixture has become thicker because it coats the back of a spoon better now.
- Let the mixture cool completely before pouring it into your ice cream maker.
- Churn the ice cream following your ice cream makers manufacturers instructions.
- Once the machine has completed the churning program, either place your ice cream in a freezer safe container or serve right away. Enjoy!!
