Lilac Iced Matcha Latte (Vegan + Gluten Free)
This Lilac Iced Matcha Latte is the perfect drink to enjoy during spring time. It’s floral and earthy and absolutely delicious. I can’t get enough of matcha lattes, and adding lilac simple syrup is such a fun seasonal twist! You definitely need to give this recipe a try.

Lilac Iced Matcha Latte (Vegan + Gluten Free)
Ingredients
- roughly 1 tsp good quality matcha powder
- about 60 ml hot water (not boiling)
- handful of ice cubes
- 1 splash lilac simple syrup
- oat milk gluten free brand if needed
Instructions
- First heat some water on the stove in a kettle. Let your water come close to a boil. But the water shouldn't be boiling because that ruins the flavour of the matcha powder.
- Scoop and sift the matcha powder into your whisking bowl (It's not absolutely necessary to sift the matcha but I do this because it removes all the clumps).
- Pour the hot water over the matcha powder. Using your softened bamboo whisk (or milk frother), whisk the matcha until it has become deliciously frothy and creamy.
- In a large glass add some ice cubes.
- Pour a splash of your lilac syrup into the glass.
- Add the desired amount of milk depending on how strong you like your matcha lattes.
- Lastly pour the prepared matcha over everything else in your glass.
- Stir and enjoy!
